Sincerely: Atticus’s weirdly gendered insults are something I would write differently if I was doing this nowadays. Then again, maybe it’s good for Atticus to have one bad quality, otherwise he would be too perfect, and thus unapproachable.
Elliwiny: Surprisingly, I’d think I’d argue to keep Atticus’ gendered insults. Not in defense of them, of course, but because Atticus’ ribbing is a part of the big picture when it comes to Jack’s relationship to masculinity, which is a big part of his story. And because Atticus IS flawed! Have you seen this cast?!
Sincerely: Excuse you, Atticus has never done anything wrong in his life.
Housekeeping would be appalled at the state of that room. Crumbs and clothes scattered about are bad enough. But the special “Do Not Touch” (tell them it is medical) equipment Atticus has stashed? Are they being well-tipped to stay out :}
