Hi! I’m Elliwiny, and I do thumbs, pencils, and inks. It’s kind of surreal for me looking back at these early pages as the Covid pandemic cycles forever on. I was in a very similar place emotionally now that I was when we started production on Opportunities, trying to work through a depression brought on by financial anxiety and feelings of stagnation, finally getting to a place where I could ask my co-creater Sincerely for help.

It was really nice to be able to make art again. Sin would give me small, achievable and tangible tasks, like “This week, just design this news anchor” or, “This week, we’ll figure out what Marco Santiago (AKA Cortez) looks like”

So when the week’s homework was “Draw the first page” it felt like crossing a finish line.

Hello, I’m Sincerely and I wrote, colored, and lettered Opportunities book 1. I don’t really enjoy coloring and lettering so for future projects I’ve roped Eri into doing that stuff for me, but for this book, it’s all me and my good friend, suffering.

Here’s where we tell you exactly what’s going to happen over the course of the book so you know what kind of trip you’re in for. As a writer it’s incredibly important to me that the first handful of pages establish the tone for the rest of the story. Here I really want you to know that “the villains” are going to at least ostensibly get away with their objective and I also want you to know that Jack Frost is totally serious about this Christmas thing. Even the socks! I think these pages work well for a “dark comedy thriller” so as a writer I’m pleased with them.
